Bangkok Thailand, July 2009.
I work where I go, live as the people live where I go, to find what is universal, to find what it is to be human. I sold photos on the street with Kak; he printed mine and laid them down with his own. I didn’t stay much with him; he said it wouldn’t be good if the other venders knew that a falong was selling in the street. I didn’t like that, I don’t like dishonesty in any case, it adds slime to all that it sits with. I took pictures then of the vendors, Jet sold dolls to tourists. He was from the north. Came to Bangkok to make money, he sends most of it back to his family.
